Inks Lake State Park
Burnet, TX   April, 2018

Inks Lake SP has several RV camp areas with numerous sites in each area.  They have rental cabins, shower facilities, group pavilions, playgounds, park store, boat ramps, and watercraft rentals.  The park has 8 named hiking trails (some connect and loop) from 0.8 to 2.20 miles.  Nearby are Longhorn Caverns and Enchanted Rock.  Fredricksburg is also within driving distance for a nice side trip.

The Devils Waterhole Trail(s).  The most popular trail in the park, it starts off as the Devils Waterhole Nature Trail, then merges with the Valley Spring Trail (loop) and becomes the Devils Backbone Trail.

This video is from around the camp site.  Our site at this visit was #281, near a playground and parking area.  Nice site, roomy, not crowded.

The Pecan Flats Trail.  This is an interpretive trail, a guide book is available from the ranger station.  It connects with several other trails and reaches the highest point in the park (1,000 ft.).

This is Betty's first time in a Kayak.  Blaze also wanted to get in on the action.
